Power11 is the eighth generation of IBM Power Systems hardware, released in 2024. Power11 systems use the POWER11 processor architecture, delivering performance improvements in compute throughput, memory bandwidth, and energy efficiency over Power10 (released 2021). Power11 supports IBM i 7.3, 7.4, and 7.5, AIX 7.2 and 7.3, and Linux distributions. Entry models include the IBM S1014 (9105-41B) and IBM S1022 (9105-22B). Enterprise models include the IBM E1080 (9080-11B). Power11 represents the current recommended hardware for new IBM i deployments and for organizations upgrading from Power9 environments that are approaching end of mainstream support.
